Stephanie Trauner was a beloved CSD teacher whose warmth, curiosity, and commitment to her students made a lasting impact on the Decatur community. Her passing earlier this week has been felt deeply by students, families, and colleagues alike.

To honor her life and legacy, Decatur Education Foundation has established the Stephanie Trauner Memorial Fund. Contributions to this fund will support programs and initiatives that reflect the values Stephanie brought into her classroom every day—joy, care, creativity, and a belief in every child’s potential.
