Erin Hinek

Community Engagement Manager

Erin Hinek joined DEF in May 2025 as the Community Engagement Manager to help grow partnerships and support campaigns that benefit all Decatur students. She brings her experience in many nonprofit roles and her background in mental health, business ownership, communications, and community engagement.

Erin has lived in Decatur since 2013 with her husband Frank, their two sons—Owen and Ari—and two dogs.
