Innovation Grant Cycle is Open for Applications

Decatur Education Foundation launched Teacher Innovation Grants (TIGs) 25 years ago - one of the very first programs of the organization - to help educators bring bold, student-centered ideas to life. We’re excited to announce that the 2025 grant cycle is now open and accepting applications.

This year we’re also bringing back Student Innovation Grants (SIGs) to support creative ideas proposed by students for their schools and community.

Both grant opportunities are intended to support single-year projects and/or provide seed funding for pilot projects.

Teacher Innovation Grants

Open to all CSD educators and staff, TIGs fund learning projects, pilot programs, and fresh approaches that go beyond the standard curriculum.

Student Innovation Grants

Open to all CSD students with the support of a staff advisor and their principal, SIGs support everything from service initiatives to new learning opportunities and creative problem-solving ideas.

Apply by September 19

Visit our grants page to view eligibility criteria and to submit your application.

Grant winners will be announced October 3rd, and awards will be distributed on October 9th.

We’d love to help make it happen.
